Farzar Review

Farzar is a Netflix adult-animation show by the creators of Paradise PD which we've also reviewed. Similar to Paradise PD, Farzar is rated TV-MA because of its adult humour. The show consists of the main characters: Renzo, Bazarack, Fichael, Flammy and Billy. The show doesn't really have a continuing story, each episode has its own plot, although the episodes seem to often revolve around aliens attacking the humans. Farzar contains only one season as it was cancelled at the same time Paradise PD was which was most likely due to the 2023 writers strike or the death of Lance Reddick who voiced major characters in both shows. Farzar got slightly worse reviews than Paradise PD as it has 5.6 on iMDB where Paradise PD has 6.8. Some non-critic reviews on iMDB say it just seems like the characters from Paradise PD just changed what they look like and put hem in space. My personal opinion would be that it's very different from Paradise PD as the characters have mostly different personalities even if they are the same voice actors. The majority of the characters are introduced well and have unique personalities. As with most of these shows though, not everything is perfect, some episodes can be hard to watch and seems as if the writers forgot everything else they'd written and put the episode in a completely different direction. Overall, I'd give Farzar a 7/10 and would suggest it if you enjoy other shows like Paradise PD or South Park as they're all aimed at Mature Viewers.
